Play ball! Kickball that is!

Last week we went with our office to a park to play some kickball before the boys had to go to work! Kickball is definitely one of the best games ever invented and we were sooo excited!

I think this one may be our Christmas card!

Woo woo! Here's our totally awesome daddy playin' the field!
Here are some of our friends out here in Virginia. From the left is Bobi Sue and her little girl Taylee, then Mandy with her husband Trent next to her. They are such fun girls (and Trent) and Easton and Taylee are basically best friends. I've been so lucky to have the other wives out here to do things with!
Here's another one of daddy. Check out that ball! Kicking that was pretty intense!

Here's Easton and his Uncle David! He's been out here selling with us this summer and Easton loves playing with him! (And we love the free babysitting! :) )

Here's me going to kick my homerun! Well, maybe not quite.. but I did get on base!
Easton was a good cheerleader in his little baseball uniform, and we decided to head back to the park that Sunday and try out the playground! As I was putting these pictures on, I decided that Easton makes the silliest faces in the world!

Notice the nice halo around his head? Yeah, that's his fuzz. Easton has this lovely mop of the thinnest, finest blonde hair ever that sticks straight up all the time! And I love it! I tried to come it to the side the other day for church, and when it dried it still stuck straight up, only now it had a bit of a slant to it. It gave him a nice windblown look. :)

Oh yeah, we took on the big slide... and Easton thought he was quite the stud!

We had a blast... for about ten minutes. You can only go down the slide so many times, and with a 7 month old who is still scooting on his belly, there's not a whole lot else to do. Although, we did enjoy the three-year old who kept running up to us, singing his ABCs, then clapping his hands for himself until we clapped with him! I'm excited for Easton to get bigger and for many more trips to the park!

More Fun Visitors!

One of my best friends from Riverton came out to visit us a few weeks ago! Megan Baxter, who just got home from a mission, came out to stay for a few days and see the sights. We had tons of fun seeing everything in DC, but it was sooo hot we were pooped for the rest of the time!
We played in the sprinklers in front of the WWII Memorial. Easton loved it (even though it doesn't look that way!).
Chelsey Sharp, another of our friends from Riverton, is out here on an internship so she came over one night for dessert!

In case you're wondering, that isn't a discolored picture, our teeth really are red and blue! We couldn't resist the popscicles from the little vendors that just happen to be on every corner in DC!

Ever since becoming a missionary, Megan loves the whole world. It was such a fun weekend and so nice to have people from home out to visit! Thanks for coming Megan!

Fabulous Fourth

We had an awesome Fourth of July this year! Grandpa and Grandma Harward, Aunt Ashlee and Aunt Nikki, Uncle McKay, Uncle Christian, Aunt Mandy, and cousins Kayla and Mylee all came to visit. We had a full house and it was so much fun!
We visited one of my new favorite places, George Washington's home, Mount Vernon. It was beautiful! It is right on the bank of the Potomac and full of acres of beautiful grass and trees. We saw a few movies about the Civil War and George Washington's life that were really interesting and made me realize what an amazing person he really was. Here is a picture of Easton and me in front of his mansion, which still holds much of the original furniture and even the bed that he died in.
Easton is the first grandchild on my side of the family and is often treated like a celebrity, with all of his aunts and uncles fighting over who gets to hold him. McKay loves spending time with him and he and Grandpa were really excited when we couldn't take strollers into the mansion so they HAD to stay out on the lawn and take care of Easton. :)

Easton obviously loved this guy-time, too!
We met up with some of our neighbors and friends from Riverton. Kirk and Michelle Sharp came out to visit their daughter, Chelsey, who is doing an internship in Washington, D.C. Here's a picture of Ashlee, Nikki, Chelsey, and me in front of the "necessary"(the outhouse).By the end of the day Easton was completely wiped out and fell asleep while Grandpa was holding him!
For the fourth we went into DC to watch the fireworks and visit some of the monuments.
Easton loved playing with his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins Kayla and Mylee.

We got to sit on the lawn in front of the Lincoln Memorial to watch the fireworks. It was such a great view, but we also got soaked in the rain. Luckily Christian and Mandy brought a sheet that we held over us.

We were quite the sight all huddled under the dripping sheet!

Heres Christian and Mandy and their adorable girls, Kayla and Mylee.

Easton has lately taken to sucking on anyone's nose that gets near his mouth, especially when he's hungry! He's such a silly boy!

We also had another visitor for the weekend...
...David's fiance, Robin! That's right! They got engaged at Disneyland a few weeks ago and are getting married at the end of December! Robin is one of the nicest girls ever and we are so excited to have her in our family!

Overall, it was an awesome weekend and we loved every minute of it!
